Day 2: Udo Island > Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak

Udo Island

We only plan 2 places in Day 2, because Udo Island can easily spend more than half day. Udo island literally "Cow Island" in Chinese because it look like a lying cow. Honestly for the whole Korea trip, Udo Island is the one I strongly recommend to others for visiting. Must go!!! Really Nice places, feel super relax.

Cold wind!
You can bring your rented car on board as well.
Sitting on the floor of ferry
Try the Peanut bread, upon arrival.

Ferry is the only transport to reach Udo Island. It takes about 15mins travel time. Udo island is a really small island, you can go around in several hours by bicycle, ATV, scooter etc. Upon arrive; you will see there is a lots bike, scooter for rent. We rent 4 hours scooter to go round the island.

Scooter is a better choice to explore Udo Island

There are quite a few of those little lighthouses along the way

Udo island really nice island, you can take a lots wonderful picture at every corner in the island.

There is 3 main beaches in Udo Island. Udo Sanho Beach, Hagosudong Beach & Geommeolle Beach.

Udo Sanho Beach, often referred to as Seobin-baeksa Beach, is a white sand beach. Seobin-baeksa Beach changes its color from time to time.

Let's Jump!!!

Hagosudong Beach, often referred to as 'the Saipan of Korea' with its sandy beach and spectacular formation of rocks and cliffs, is located on Udo Island off the coast of Jeju-do. But we didn't stop on this beach.

Geommeolle Beach, literally "blacksand beach. The nearly all-grey beach will look strange at first, but soon visitors eyes will adjust and they will begin to pick out where the cliff and rocks end and the sandy shore begins, all in various shades of grey.

Try out the Peanut and Tangerine ice-cream! Nice!!!!!!!!!!

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (2,000 won per entry)

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak just near terminal ferry to Udo Island. We reach Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak around 5pm. Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak is one of the most popular places to visit in Jeju island. It rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. On top of Seongsan Ilchulbong,  it look like gigantic crown, between them rest a large meadow. There is well-built series of stairs leads visitors to the top with ease. People rest and enjoy the view of Jeju Island on their way up.
